What Shapes Firebird Spirit
Firebird Spirit exists to create gathering spaces where the sacred meets the real — where people can explore spiritual life honestly, thoughtfully, and in community.
We come from the Christian tradition while welcoming wisdom from across the human spiritual journey. Our community includes seekers, skeptics, long-time believers, and people rediscovering faith in new ways.
The following principles help shape the spirit of this community. They are not rigid doctrines or tests of belief. Instead, they reflect the shared understandings that guide how we walk together.
Sacred Presence
We believe every person and every part of creation is held within a sacred Presence. Known by many names across cultures and traditions, this Presence lives within the world and within us, inviting relationship, awareness, and growth.
Love at the Center
At the heart of that Presence is Love. Love is stronger than fear, stronger than hatred, and stronger than the divisions created by human systems. When we align our lives with Love, we participate in the healing and renewal of the world.
The Beloved Community
As we grow in awareness of Spirit, we begin to see the deep inter-connectedness of life. This awareness calls us to build communities shaped by compassion, justice, dignity, and care for one another.
The Christed Way
Firebird Spirit stands within the evolving stream of the Way of Jesus. In his life and teachings we see a path of courageous love — welcoming the stranger, uplifting the marginalized, and giving voice to those often unheard. We seek and embrace the Christ Consciousness in the Universe
Freedom of Conscience
Each person’s spiritual journey is unique. We affirm the long-held principle that God alone is ruler of the conscience. Faith grows through exploration, questioning, and discovery — not coercion.
Lifelong Spiritual Growth
Spiritual life is an unfolding journey. The Spirit continually invites us to learn, reflect, and grow. None of us arrive finished; we are always becoming.
Walking the Journey Together
Some people find in Firebird Spirit their primary spiritual home. Others walk alongside us while remaining active in other communities.
